I just filed my taxes today, how do I know if I completed it and what is the estimated turn around for the refund

Most refunds are issued within 20 days (usually less) if you e-filed.   You can start checking Where's My Refund 1 day after your return is accepted.   It takes minutes to several hours, maybe days for your return to be accepted or rejected.   But once accepted (you will get an email), the IRS has your return.
