Where on the form is "column G"? I've looked all over the Quick Entry Table and Sale Results sections and don't see this.
Tried that but you are leaving the incorrect adjustment code in your return. IRS may ignore if they are aware of this TT bug.
I had the same error on153 records. Was hoping to find a resolution here.
I don't think telling folks the code is correct when it's obviously not. Adjusting to 0 would most likely cause more problems than good. Best to at least get some type of resolution from MS either a new 1099-B or instructions on how to resolve the issue. Patience is key.
Hello Turbotax, anybody there? There are posts all over the community about the Etrade adjustment code N problem with downloading to turbotax. While manually entering the transactions is a work around, not why I buy turbotax - to end up doing it myself! help. Thanks
TT is no help... spent 40 minutes with customer service yesterday and it was like speaking to a Bot!!
Hopefully MS will resolve.... and soon!!
We paid for TurboTax so that we don't need to enter anything manually
I'm having the exact same error(s). 30 errors and not sure how to fix. Anyone find an answer to this yet?
Yes I agree. Please post or let me know if you discover or are informed of a fix.
With so many people with this problem i am sure that Morgan Stanley will be informed through emails and calls by tomorrow of this problem, and will need to adjust the export routine for before (ETrade) files vs after (etrade by morgan stanley) files to fix this.
Seems from other comments from calls, Turbotax is taking the position its bad data coming from Morgan Stanley.
I am not certain who is at fault, as I dont know if TT is pulling from a Morgan Stanley database, or if Morgan Stanley is exporting a file that TT just reads. That would determine whos needs to fix.
Only thing we know for sure is the tax paper statement looks right from Morgan Stanley but comes in wrong at Turbotax.
same issue, every year I enter my RSU in TurboTax, I get form errors. I feel clueless and don't know what to fix. In the past years, I had to call TurboTax support to help resolve the errors. It's annoying.
Same issue here... 70 issues found. Will wait for a resolution from either TT or MS before filing unfortunately.
Same issue. Code N all over where it should not be - only for Morgan Stanley/Etrade import. Importing from Fidelity, Chase are ok.
I just ran into this today. How soon will this be fixed? And what will be the likely solution? My 1099B is already imported and I am ready to file the return.
Thanks
I have same problem. My work-around is de-select "Check this box for employee stock....", then put correct basis above (one row above)
