I have been under review for almost 60 days can you help?

I filed feb 7 and approved on 7th was told was going under rwview as of 15th. 60 days passed an nothing I called an they said give it another 60 days.    I hate this.   I dont understand how they can give us a date and time frame than change it...

I am in the same boat i called they told me I had to wait 45 days then call back so I did but I received a letter stating I had to wait 60 from Feb 22 so that is this coming up Monday then I will call back this is b.s. let us owe them money they will garnish our pay to get it but when they owe us money they can take their time. Only thing different on mine is I just had a child and field with her on it

I have had the same job and same two kids. I filed the end of Jan. I got a letter around March 8th stating that i was on a 60 day review and that i was to do nothing.  60 days from the letter date. So I assume I should get my return in May?  Very frustrating. I had to pay turbo tax too. I had to cancel Spring Break. This is so odd.  Glad I'm not the only one in this situation.

I has ever to wait a month now and call back bc they put me in for a referral which the month would be may 11th smh they already had over 60 days

Usually the IRS phone agents will not be able to give you any updates until after the 60 days has passed.  Once that happens call the number on your letter to get an update.

TurboTax does not receive updates on tax returns that have been filed.  With the current situation the IRS is working with a reduced workforce so processing times are longer.
