You may need to go to your state website to file an extension.

If you file for an extension for the Federal return, most states don't need a separate extension. Check with your department of Revenue.

States accept the Federal extension as proof for state taxes as well. If you don't find any link on state gov site for extension, then Federal extension works for state.
