I don't want to pay TurboTax for my state return because I can file for free on the state of Colorado website. How do I only pay for the Federal e-file option?

To not pay for state now you can delete it.

Before TurboTax sends your return, it will ask you which returns you want them to send.  Make sure only Federal is checked.
