I had a K-1 as part of my return for the past couple years, but I'm no longer part of that trust as of 2022, so I have no need to enter a K-1. However, TurboTax thinks I still need to enter a K-1 for some reason. Following the instructions in the TurboTax online help system, to delete a K-1 I'm supposed to:
Using the search feature in the upper right, search for K-1 and select the Jump to link in the search results.
Answer Yes to Did you receive any Schedules K-1 or Q? Select this even if the correct answer is no.
Select Update next to the type of K-1 you initially entered (partnership/LLC, S corp, or estate/trust).
After step 2 is where it goes wrong. I can't go to step 3 because it wants me to upgrade from Deluxe to Premier. If I choose "This doesn't apply to me" and "Don't upgrade" and then try to file the return, it says it can't continue because I have to upgrade due to having a K-1 form. I've gone to "Documents" on the menubar on the lefthand side of the screen and verified there's no K-1 listed there.
I'm not going to upgrade and pay an additional $54 just to remove a form that I never entered for this tax year, when I don't need the upgrade for anything else.
