Did you receive a Form 1095-A for your health care insurance from one of the State Marketplace Exchanges or from healthcare.gov? If not, you do not have to report having health insurance on the federal tax return.
Or is this for a state tax return?
To enter, edit or delete your Form 1095-A -
Or enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a
I got form 1095-c, I already filed and had my return sent in, but I put down that I did not have health insurance. Is that going to make a difference? I'm only really wondering because apparently I owe the state money and I have no idea why, I thought it was a health insurance thing lol
@ajbowe1992 A Form 1095-C is not entered on a tax return so there is no reason to amend the tax return that was filed.
Ok cool thank you. So I owe the money for a different reason? I guess it's not due to putting down I did not have insurance?

Whether or not you had insurance is not reported on a federal tax return, except for the Form 1095-A. So if you have taxes owed on the federal return it has nothing to do with the health insurance. Are taxes owed for the state tax return?
