What tax form(s) are you trying to file? Depending on your version of TurboTax, you should be able to complete the second return and efile.
Desktop TurboTax can prepare multiple returns, but Online TurboTax can only prepare 1 Federal return per online account per year. If you need to prepare additional online returns for different filers, each Federal return requires a different account (User ID). You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address in the Profile section for notification purposes, but each log-in User ID must be unique.
Thank you. With the disk, I was able to file five returns. Are they not selling the disk any more?
The desktop software is still available like always---both from TurboTax and from various retailers. This year it is a download--no CD. The other software companies have also eliminated CD's since so few new computers have disk drives. Now you just download the software directly to your hard drive. It is still the same--five federal e-files, etc.

You can also purchase the desktop download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return. You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return.
If you really really want a CD you can order one after you purchase the download and have your license key.

I have used Turbo Tax since 2010 and filed returns for my son and daughter as they came of taxation age. With this change, I will NOT be using Turbo Tax for 2026 and going forward unless I find a work around.
I am not a business... just a family. Very STUPID on your part and I feel betrayed.
