If you need to report your Premium Tax Credit and you need form 1095-A:
- Log in to your HealthCare.gov account.
- Under "Your Existing Applications," select your 2022 application — not your 2023 application.
- Select “Tax Forms” from the menu on the left.
- Download all 1095-As shown on the screen.
- Get screen-by-screen directions, with pictures (PDF, 351 KB).
Note: If you can't find your 1095-A in your Marketplace account, contact the Marketplace Call Center.
The premium tax credit is a refundable tax credit that can help lower your insurance premium costs when you enroll in a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
- You can receive this credit before you file your return by estimating your expected income for the year when applying for coverage in the Marketplace. This counts as the advance premium tax credit.
- You can also claim the premium tax credit after the fact on your tax return with your actual income.
You don't need to enter Forms 1095-B and 1095-C in TurboTax, but it's a good idea to keep them for your records. As mentioned above, only the 1095-A information needs to be entered.
