Getting a refund, but tax vouchers print out with amount due anyway

I completed my 2021 federal taxes recently, (delayed due to COVID illness),  with a small refund due. Yet when I print out my return for mail 4 vouchers also are printed with a sizable amount on each of them and instructions on where to send the payments. the rest of my return is printed correctly and shows my refund. I can not find where this is coming from, and do not want to send out my return until this is resolved.

Please advise.

Dan

You are referring the Form 1040-ES which would be used to pay estimated taxes for tax year 2023.  If these are not required then ignore the forms, they are not reported to the IRS unless you actually print and mail the form.

Thank you Donna. I heard of people NOT reading the "fine print" before. 😂
