i dont doubt that it says must have premier but as someone who has a K1 as a limited partner every year and has filed with deluxe for almost 2 decades i can tell you deluxe does indeed work with a K1.
Sorry, no you cannot use the Free online edition as it does not support entry of a Schedule K-1. You would need to upgrade to the Premier online edition which supports a Schedule K-1
i have used the deluxe version for years, even when we itemized. i've never had to use premier

Go to this website for the Deluxe online edition and forms. In the Search Forms box type in Schedule K-1 - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/deluxe.jsp#tax-forms
You will see that only the Premier and Self-Employed online editions support the Schedule K-1

maybe at some point turbo tax changed things where you needed premier to do a k1 and i was "grandfathered in" because the K1 was in my past years file . but i have used deluxe with my K1 and use the "go to forms" to fill it out because thats easiest for me to go line by line instead of answering their questions in the program
