You can easily put the 7206 back in and file a 1040x a few weeks later to get your $65 back. That is what I am going to do if they don't get this fixed soon. And in the place where we explain what we are amending, there will be a brief mention it is because of TT’s error.
Still having the 7206 problem after this. I'm shopping around for tax software that works
Catina, I'm sorry but you've been posting this entirely unhelpful message now for about two weeks. When are we going to get some REAL information on this topic? What is the code issue? When is it going to be resolved? What does TT plan to do to compensate us desktop users who have been harmed by this code glitch?
I just received this: 2/13/24
Dear TurboTax customer,
Thank you for being patient while we investigate your issue.
We’re still working on a solution and we’ll send you an email once a fix is in place.
Thank you for being a TurboTax customer.
Sincerely,
TurboTax
I have the same issue in not being able to efile with 7206, but I don't have and have never had Marketplace coverage.
I don't think this is resolved as I am still getting this error on the 7206 form. I updated TurboTax, cleared the cache, and rebooted. Same error is given when I select E-file. Running Win 10 and version 023.000.0424
Join the club. Entering anything on the self-employed medical insurance worksheet is now generating the 7206 and this problem.
Let me know if you find one that will let you file with form 7206. I feel turbo tax should have something posted in their website they are fixing the issue. I signed up for updates and have gotten nothing.
There have been several mentions that TurboTax online is working with the 7206 form included.
You can do the online TT return & efile. Took me additional 3 hours to redo taxes from desktop version. I called TT & got a “service code” to cover the cost. His supervisor thought the issue was resolved. I let him know it is not & they have thousands of SE users that are not happy with TT
Has anyone tried TaxHawk? It says it is free, even for complex returns.
This is excellent news! They are at least providing a free ticket to use the online version.
I’m not sure I could reenter my return in three hours, but if push comes to shove, I may go that direction.

Unfortunately, I'd lose about $6K if I didn't claim the health insurance credit... 😔
I cleared my cookies/cache and still CANNOT efile my returns with form 7206
Even after removing forms 7206 and 8962 then adding them back this morning (2/13/24) and clearing cookies & cache, I'm still getting rejected for electronic filing. Using Desktop CD/Download. States: CA & ID
