Form 5498-SA Box 3

Box 3 has a $ amount of HSA contributions made in 2025 for 2024. Do I record that somewhere? I am 62 years old, and Box 2 says Total Contributions made in 2024 are $8575

Form 5498-SA Box 3

The contribution limit for tax year 2024 is 8,300 for family coverage.

If 8,575 were made, there would be a 275 excess contribution. 

Is 275 the number in Box 3? 

Did you make any contributions in 2025 for 2024? 

 

Are all your contributions done through payroll and listed on your W-2?
