form 1116 not avail in TT . Avail in IRS. needs attention

form 1116 is availale from the IRS per website. TT says can not file because they  don't have the form.  How does that get reported to be updated.....thanks for your help.

If Form 1116 is not required for your tax situation, follow these steps to claim the foreign tax credit:

1. With your federal return open, go to Deductions & Credits, then click Show more next to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
2. Click on Start or Revisit next to Foreign Tax Credit 
3. Answer the questions that follow

Thank you for the link.  That is the last form I need to file so anxious for TT to get the update completed so I can move the process along. Appreciate the help.

But what I don't get is that is it available on the IRS website.   Why would it not be on TT yet.  It is the last form I need to file which is frustrating.  I could have filed last week.

Turbo Tax is always communicating with the taxing agencies to update and finalize forms for use in our software. However in this public forum, we don't have the specifics on why a form may not be available in Turbo Tax but show's as available in IRS - it could be for multiple reasons. Thank you for trying to help. A bit disappointing considering TTs competitor h&r block already has the form available.  

If I had used them I could have already filed and had my return in the IRS system.

I've used TurboTax for years but but may need to consider switching to h&r block next year.

Form 1116 is projected to be ready for use by March 3rd in TurboTax.
