I am providing the details of the steps I have completed below. E-Filing status does not get updated and I receive "tax return rejected" message after ~ 30 min even though the verification details are correct. Please help. Thanks
1. Completed the tax return and steps to e-file it.
2. Provided all the verification details and banking info
3. Turbo Tax displayed message indicating "You Just Filed Your Taxes!" + "Your Returns Have Been Sent".
4. Turbo Tax also displayed Transmission Confirmation with transmission dates and estimated acceptance date.

After these steps are completed, Turbo Tax filing status remains as "Not Printed or E-Filed"

After e-filing the return, I receive the first email with transmission confirmation.
After ~ 30 min, I receive second email indicating "Your tax return was rejected" with an error code "IND-031-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records."
I have confirmed that the AGI verification matched the 2020 AGI from the filing form.

Then it must be the PIN that has been entered incorrectly. Go through all of your verification details and make sure everything is correct. The IRS takes identification fraud very seriously. Something in your verification details isn't entered correctly.
Your 2020 return must have been Accepted by the IRS for your prior year AGI to be on record. If you mailed your 2020 return, or it was late, you need to make sure it was Accepted by contacting the IRS directly.
You can print and mail your 2021 return or select I didn’t file last year, if your 2020 return was rejected and never resubmitted or accepted by the IRS.
