F1 to h1B Tax situation question

Hi,

Here is my situation. I moved from F1 to H1b in 2021. From Jan to Sep 2021 I was in F1-Stem opt and from Oct to Dec 2021 I was in H1b. My past yearly presence in US is as follows:

Number of days Present in 2021: 365 f1 and h1b

Number of days Present in 2020: 366 f1

Number of days Present in 2019: 347 f1

Number of days Exempt in 2021: 273. (365-92) . 92 being the number days in h1b

1. I read somewhere in some post that TurboTax doesn't cover for F1 situation. Is this true? I have my info and everything ready to file stage online. Software says all fine. It didn't take in any inputs to account for resident/Non resident status?

2. Not sure if I fall under dual status? Am I a resident or a Non resident?. Does TurboTax cover this?

3. The online software applied 3rd stimulus credit. Not sure if its applicable to me?

F1 to h1B Tax situation question

You are still a nonresident in 2021 because you did not meet the Substantial Presence Test in 2021. The days while you were on the F1 visa do not count towards the Substantial Presence Test.

TurboTax does not support Form 1040NR for a nonresident.  You can prepare your return through a company we partner with called Sprintax
