Exemptions/State Return

I'm working on my daughter's Delaware State return. She has one 5 year old daughter. The form is asking for the number of exemptions. Should that be 1 or two exemptions? I'm thinking one exemption, but not certain. Thanks.

I believe you are talking about personal credit exemptions of $100 per person on the Deleware income tax return. They apply to the tax filer(s) and dependents, so you would have two exemptions, one for your daughter and one for her dependent.
