Error: Credit for Tax Paid to Another State(NY)

It says: The taxable income earned in other state subject to NC tax should be entered with an amount greater than zero.  The form is asking for the field Taxable inc fr oth state to NOT be zero, but it doesn't allow for an entry.  I have tried opening the form but it can't be changed.

Can you clarify if you are seeing this on the state tax Review/Error Check?  (It would say Check this entry:) Thanks!

Yes, that's exactly where I'm seeing it.

You will have to go back to the North Carolina state tax return.  Edit the Credits and taxes on the summary page, then look for the "Other state tax credit"- if you had other state credits you can enter them there- or if you did not have any other state returns, clear the zero.
