Does anyone know why TurboTax cannot efile form 7004? The IRS page below says 7004 can be efiled.

There is a way to e-file form 7004, but not using TurboTax. The good news is that there is a somewhat inexpensive way to e-file just that form. More below.
For some bizarre reason, Intuit/TurboTax is not an authorized e-filer for form 7004. I did a bunch of research on this earlier today, and found out that there's a specific list of authorized 7004 MeF (Modernized e-File) providers, separate from the list of traditional tax return (e.g. 1120/1120S) MeF providers on the IRS website at the following link:
https://www.irs.gov/tax-professionals/tax-year-2022-form-7004-modernized-e-file-mef-providers
After visiting many of those providers, I ended up going with taxzerone.com and e-filed my 7004 earlier today for $11.99, and received an acceptance notification (that my extension request was officially accepted) from the IRS (via my taxzerone account) within 30 minutes of performing the e-file. It was quick and easty, and I really liked the fact that it was accepted so quickly with an official confirmation listing the associated IRS Return Number and Submission ID.
By the way, I'm in no way affiliated with taxzerone.com. I simply did the research to find a solution to my immeidate need.
Hopefully this can benefit you and others needing an extension with immediate confirmation of acceptance!
Mike
Thanks so much as I am pulling my hair out trying to file now. IRS website is so wordy and convoluted in regards to this 7004 efile!
