Yes. The post office should forward any mail to your new address if you have completed their form directing them to do so.
Ok thank you. I just didn't know if they considered that government mail. I know there are some things they don't forward
That comes from your employer not the government so it should be forwarded HOWEVER there is a limited time for the forwarding. So you really need to update the address with the employer by the end of the year so it doesn't have to be forwarded.
Thank you for answering. I just changed address with usps last month and they say it is good for 12 months. So should be good. I have just heard several conflicting things as far as them forwarding w2
STILL do not count on that forwarding ... contact the employer NOW and give them your new address ... it is your responsibility to do so not theirs.
I've already let them know. I am just making sure. It isn't the most competent company.
