Does "Ready to Mail" mean I need to mail in my information or that a paper check is ready to be mailed to me?

I filed both online and received my federal very quickly. But when checking my status for state it says "Ready to mail".

Check your state website and see if your state return was really e-filed.  If not, change to e-file and file your state

Sorry but Ready to Mail means you have to print it out and mail it to the state.  It has not been filed yet.   You might be able to go back through the File tab and try to efile it.
