The IRS doesn't appear classify the Wounded Warrior Project or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation as fraternal orders or veterans groups. Instead, these organizations are recognized as charitable organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

  • Wounded Warrior Project: This organization provides support and services to wounded veterans and their families. It is classified as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, meaning donations to it are tax-deductible

  • Tunnel to Towers Foundation: This foundation supports first responders and military families by providing mortgage-free homes and other assistance. It is also classified as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization

For more detailed information, you can refer to the IRS guidelines on charitable organizations here and the specific IRS publication on veterans' organizations here.
