Do I need to provide EIN for a church preschool to claim child care credit for my daughter? I see there is an option to call it out as Tax exempted organization.

Kindly advice. I originally filed the return by marking the preschool as Tax exempted and now received the EIN. Do I need to amend the return to provide EIN and change it from Tax Exempted?

No. Per the IRS, if the care provider is a tax-exempt organization, you need only report the name and address of the organization on your return. Please mark it tax-exempt on the page Let's get some info about your care provider.
