First time filing taxes why does it ask for 2019 AGI?

The IRS requires a AGI from the prior year to e-file.  Since this is your first time filing, you would enter a Zero (0) for your 2019 AGI.  Then the program might ask you to enter a PIN, you can use any 5 digit numbers, except all zero's.
