I've completed all of my forms and I went to print the forms to file by mail and to make a copy for me to keep in archive but every time I go to print TurboTax freezes and I get the Spinning Multicolored ball and in Force Quit I see that TurboTax isn't responding. I'm running Mac OS 10.51.3 on a 2019 iMac.
I've restarted the computer, re-installed TurboTax Premiere 2020 and updated my Canon printer driver all to no avail. What's causing this freeze issue?

I'm having the same issue! Please someone help!
When searching other questions about this, I'm only seeing comments referencing the Troubleshoot Printing Issues page, which doesn't help at all. Does anyone have a way around this?
I'm using the downloaded TurboTax Deluxe on MacOS 10.14.6.
Since you have tried the troubleshooting steps to no avail, please contact us directly here:

The link you indicate is for the Turbo Debit Card site. I need TurboTax support
thanks

I'm going to see if one of the Mac helpers in this forum has some comments on your situation but it may not be until the morning. And as you requested, the info below will tell you how to phone TurboTax Support during business hours, if needed. You may wish to hold off on phoning Support until you see if the Mac helper has a chance to comment.
In any case, if you end up needing to phone Support, you can use the Contact form at the link below to get a number, or it may schedule a call back.
Where the form asks what product you are using, be sure in the dropdown menu to indicate "CD/download" and the proper operating system, then indicate which Edition.

@macuser_22 Are you able to please assist these 2 Mac users with a printing issue when you are next in the forum? Thanks!
Thank you Mesquite
hopefully an answer will come
Can you use File -> print and only select the Federal, then only select the State.
Is it only the state that hangs? If so what state?
Macuser
I was able to print the Fed forms now by deselecting the State forms for print. Tried to print the State separately and TurboTax Froze. I am filing in California.
I guess we can narrow it down to an issue with the State forms.
I have seen several reports of this with state only but I cannot get a handle on it. I have CA myself and have printed many real and test returns and no problems.
Getting the beachball is not unusual when printing but sould not last for more then 30 seconds or so. The Mac "hang" timer is rather short and may routines take longer than the timer to complete.
Hangs can be very difficult to trouble shoot if it cannot be reproduced at will and I have not figured out how to reproduce it. Some user have reported that restarting in the safe mode that disables addon extensions and fonts has allowed printing. For others it has just printed after many attempts which leads me to think that there might be some interaction with another (unrelated) process that hogs some resource that TurboTax needs. Do you have other applications running at the same time?

Are there any special forms in the CA return besides the 540?
You can also use the Utilities -> Activity Monitor to see the running processes and select "Memory" to see the memory usage and swap space. If all or most of the available memory is being used by other processes then it can take a very long time to swap in and out so the beach ball spins.
I'm only doing state forms, so that makes sense. I'm in NM. Hope someone has an idea that may help.
All I had running at the time was Apple Mail App, Messages and TurboTax.
I'm going to test run it on my older iMac and see if that has the same issues.

Can you try restarting the Mac in the "safe" mode (restart holding the shift key) and see if you can then print while in the safe mode?

Problem resolved. Don't know how but yesterday I was able to print the State forms.
Thank you to everyone who responded with potential solutions.

That is why this problem is a mystery and hard to get a handle on. For MANY Mac users it has just started working and there is no common reason why. (You cannot fix something that you cannot reproduce.) The only thing that seems to be common is the Federal form always prints fine, it is just the state that hangs, but it has been various states.
