HassFarm, I'm MD too, I did file my federal, but being held up with the 8520 activity form. I sure hope they offer a waiver on charging us more after the 28th, considering there is nothing we can do about it :(
Hello, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I had losses on my rental in 2021. I am now trying to just file my federal return now and as you recommended I will file my maryland state return later when the form 8582 is fixed. I had initially chose to e-file them together I think. However at this point, I seem to no longer be able to get the "Here are your filing options" screen. When i go to "file" step 1 is already complete (payment complete, lets me see receipt, but doesn't seem like TurboTax has charged me yet for it. Would prefer to lock in the $30 savings before that goes away). Step 2 my information is prefilled and when i get to the end it is also marked complete. When I go through step 3, i click that "I want to e-file." After several screens I get to "Let's make sure everything is accurate" and at this point I only get the option to "file by mail" or "fix maryland return". I don't want to file by mail, but I do want to go ahead and e-file my federal return. Please advise.
When I click on file, I don't have the option of filing my federal or state separately. It only says e-file and then returns to the error page. How can I recover the option to file just my federal? Yes, I have already paid to submit both.
Thank you for sharing this information. Our team is working to resolve the error message for Form 8582 Passive Activity Loss Limitations during Review of state returns and now expects to have this updated by March 3rd. Please try your return in Review on or after March 4th.
If the federal forms are all finalized and it is ready to e-file, you can choose to file just the federal return at this time, then come back when your state forms are ready and e-file that return.
Note, if you don't e-file them together, you do have to wait until the federal is accepted before you can e-file the state. Sometimes this takes a day or even two. Here is a TurboTax Help article with directions for when you return to file your state return.

Also in Iowa, and have same issue. We have no passive income, no 8582 filed (or needed) for federal return. We have a Schedule C. Talked with a "tax expert" yesterday and was told form would be available March 3rd. No work around, even though form (8582) is irrelevant.
TurboTax accepted my Maryland return today, no having to review form, just accepted. Thanks
It seems TurboTAX resolved this issue (at least for Marylanders).
Thanks guys. Same for Iowa. No new form, just acceptance of Iowa return.
I have a similar issue with a INT/DIV worksheet. It is not needed, and I can delete it, but it keeps popping back into my state return with issures and will not let me file electronically.
If it keeps coming back then that means that an answer that you have given is creating it.
Check and see if there has been a carryover of an interest or dividend form from a prior year. If there has been then click the little trash can next to it and that should fix the problem.
However, if you can not find what is generating the schedule B you should still be able to file your return with a form that is all zeroes.
