i imported from two brokers. one import does not require individual item review; it appears the other one does. there are 140 transactions and it appears i have to go through each one. tedious and i would like to know if i can skip it.
You are not required to review the entries but it is advisable. If you do not review the entries, are you able to balance back to the numbers on the 1099-R's? Perhaps you could:
You can review the 1040 in TurboTax Online by following these directions.
You can print or view your full tax returns prior to filing after you have paid for the software.
Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
That includes Schedule D and related forms.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend because a TurboTax update changes your return.
I ran into the same annoying problem. Anyone knows how to skip the final review to avoid editing each transaction review??
On top of that, on MacPro, TurbotTax does not display the complete view of each review item to block the "edit pen" button even after you enlarge the screen. You basically have to scroll all the all down in order to slide the screen left to show edit pen button for each item. Essentially this becomes a very time consuming job.
It is the problem of both stock broker and bad TurboTax SW.
Any tips to get out of this hard job will be really appreciated.
Thanks,
-Robert
