Can I export the depreciation form data from 2019 Home & Business to 2020 Home & Business? One property depreciation did not transfer over.

Can I export the depreciation form data from 2019 Home & Business to 2020 Home & Business? Upon transferring my 2019 .tax file into 2020 New tax return on one of the two rental properties the depreciation form and its data did not transfer over. Is there a way to transfer this only?

No.  You would have to start a new 2020 return and transfer from 2019 again.   Could you have transferred from the wrong file? See if you have another .tax2019 file on your computer. Or maybe last year you marked the Schedule C as FINAL in Turbo Tax? Or the Asset as Sold?

Here's an idea. Do you still have 2019 installed? Try opening 2019 program and see if you can get your 2019 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. And see if your schedule C is in it and if it's marked as final or the Asset is sold.

Then save it again with a name and place you can find. Go to File - Save As. Then start a new 2020 return and transfer from the saved 2019 file.

Thank you for your answer; unfortunately I did open my 2019 file and the depreciation is entered and its not marked final so it doesn't make sense why it didn't transfer over to 2020 and the worse part is I've already completed everything and didn't notice that the depreciation was missing until I had printed out the completed return. So unless there's another/different work around I guess I will be forced to reenter all of the depreciation again into my 2020 file which sucks. And by the way both files are up to date software wise. ughhh
