Bug in Turbo Tax? I was done with my federal taxes, it showed I'll get a $2800 return. I moved to State taxes (WA does not have any) . The refund flipped to $1300 due.

You may have seen your refund amount before it was finished updating. ‌If your state does not have an income tax, it would have no effect on your federal tax return.

The Refund Meter in TurboTax header is an estimate of how your input changes your tax return as you are making entries into your tax return. ‌There are many things that factor into the refund amount. You won't know your actual refund amount until you complete the final review and are ready to e-file.
