There appears to be an error in Form 8959. In the section for Additional Medicare Tax for Self-Employment Income, Line 8 is supposed to be a direct carry-over from Schedule SE, Part I, Line 6. Instead it is exactly twice that amount. The result is an overcalculation of additional Medicare tax from self-employment income. Can this be overridden or corrected manually? Note: I had this same situation in 2021 and the carry-over there was correct.
Looking through the rest of the return there is no indication of a double entry of self employment income. There is only one copy of Schedule C and Schedule SE.
The DO NOT FILE indicator does not appear in either Schedule SE or Form 8959 as of January 8, 2023.
Advice please.

I agree.
Form 8959 line 8 is showing an incorrect number. It is supposed to be a direct input from Form 1040 SE line 6, however it is inputting exactly twice the amount.
There was a software release today (01/12/20230 that resolves this problem for me and at least one other person. Please activate Turbotax, it should indicate that there is an update, download/install it, and see if the problem goes away.
