Convert unused 2019 to current 2020 version... How?

I purchased 2019 CD from Costco last year, but never used it. I unsealed it and installed with the code. NP. I want to do 2020 taxes w/ TurboTax. Side note, I was able to upload '18 but not '19 tax pdf completed from another vendor.  I want to do 2020 with TurboTax.  How, if possible can I change a paid for but not used 2019 version for 2020 to use?

No, you cannot, unfortunately.  You cannot use 2019 program to complete your 2020 taxes.
