Railroad Retirement

I am a retired railroad employee.  I received 2 RRB-1099-R.  One has my employee contributions, tax withheld, etc.  The other RRB-1099-R only has line 4, contributory amount paid shown.  This line 4, contributory amount paid is also shown on the other RRB-1099-R but they are 2 different amounts.  I don't know where I am suppose to show the 2nd contributory amount paid.  Can you please help.  Thanks

Yes. Enter only one RRB-1099-R.  First, check to see if one of them has a 'Corrected or Duplicate' check box marked.  If so, use only the line 4 from the corrected one, then fill the rest of the form out with the other RRB-1099-R. If neither form has a checkbox, you may need to review the link below and/or talk to the Railroad Retirement Board before filing your return.

A railroad Retiree always receives 2. One is Blue and is form RRB-1099 to report how much was actually Social Security and on line 11 how much medicare premiums was deducted.

You also receive a green form RRB-1099R that has amount on item 7 that is the combination of 4 and 6 which you report and then on line 9 it has the federal income tax withheld that you report.
