Query on taxation in India

I am on an H1B status in the US and was in India for 168 days in 2021. I was still drawing salary in USD due to remote working. My company does not have an office in India.

I am required to travel to India again in March 2022 for 30 days, and will therefore be considered tax resident in India and will have to pay taxes in India. I would be on vacation this time around. Would I benefit from DTAA relief in India , given that I have been paying taxes on my salary in US?

Yes, you will get the benefit from DTAA relief in India.

Thanks for your response. I did my best to find the correct section for my scenario but am unsure which section to look at. Could you suggest that pls?

Also , which tax consultants are best placed to answer my queries? I am guessing those in India?

Yes, the tax consultants in India will be able to advise you about claiming credits for the taxes paid on your income in the USA.
