problem with finding out refund status

Filled with Turbo Tax paid my $40.00  Was informed IRS rejected it and would have to file a paper form  I did that on 3/1/2021  Now checking often told they have no information on my refund.  Why was I not told why it was rejected  It was accepted by you, I gave all correct information.  This is ridiculous.  What should I do at this point  put out more money?
