Problem importing 2024 tax info into Mac

Last year's .tax file does not appear in the window, so I use the "Find your tax return" on your computer hyperlink.  On the pop-up window, I find the .tax file in the downloads folder (I had downloaded it from the on-line account), click on it, then select Transfer.  There is an audible beep, but nothing happens.

for folks hitting this issue, the workaround has been - instead of starting a new return, do Open New Return and try to open the .tax2024 file.  the 2025 s/w will detect it's prior year and ask to transfer it into a new return.
