Preparing deceased Mom’s 2024 taxes

Hello.  My Mom passed away January 2025. I need to file her 2024 taxes. I am her beneficiary and executor. She did not previously have a Turbo Tax account. I want to use Turbo Tax Online to file her taxes. Do I create the account in her name with her email address? Thank you.

You can create a TurboTax Online account with any username and with your own email address for easier access.

To file a tax return for a decedent, in the My Info section of TurboTax, when entering the information for the decedent, click Yes on the line I'm preparing this return for Taxpayer, who has passed away, then fill in the date of death.
