My wife is self-employed with a photography business that earns about $5,000 per year or so.  I make about $75k from W-2 type work.

If you use the CD/download product, all versions contain all forms. You just get more assistance for things like self employment income and expenses with the Home & Business version.

If you use the online product, you need the Self-Employed version to get a Schedule C needed for her photography business unless her total expenses were less than $100.

Can someone please verify this?  When I have called in for "help" I have found the wait times and the ability to ACCESS A CPA/EA less than desirable.  Thank you!  We use the online product, so it looks like we need the "Self-Employed" version to get the schedule C.  Her expenses for the year were about $500 or so.

Yes the answer posted is right.  You will need the Self Employed online version (formerly called Home & Business).  Or any Desktop program.
