PPP loans ?

PPP loans the program now says No entry on 1040/1040SR. This is maddening fix the **bleep** program so I can file my taxes!

Well some howTurboTax program thinks I had PPP loans. I

Have never had a PPP loan and it won’t let me progress

Beyond that point, until I select which year 2020 or 2021

I had these loans. When I checked with your help button

The response was select either year and place .01 in the 

Amount section. When I did this the program allowed me

To progress with the balance of my federal taxes. However

When the program performed a review the program called for

A fix on PPP loans wanting further info I.e. dates when loans

Were forgiven. Of course since I had no PPP loans I am stuck

With no where to go! 

I have been using TurboTax for 23 years now and this is the 

Most frustrating issue I have ever come across! I can’t 

Finish my taxes until this is fixed! Otherwise I have to go

Elsewhere to have a tax service finish my taxes!

Since you never had a PPO loan, you can look to see if you have a PPP loan statement in your program and if so, you can delete it. Use the Forms menu option to retrieve the form and delete it if you are working with the desktop TurboTax, otherwise:

Follow these instructions:

1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return

2. Choose Tools

3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links 

4. Find the PPP loan stmt in the list and delete it

If that doesn't work and you are working in the desktop version of TurboTax, use the Forms menu option to retrieve the PPP loan stmt in the list of forms. Look for the fields that are highlighted in red on that form and make entries as is required to remove the red highlights, which will mean you cleared the error.

This is definitely a software glitch. If you run "Visit All" under miscellaneous income, there is no option for "Did not have a PPP loan". It forces you to pick a year or back out. I

If you get stuck on the PPP loan page and cannot get past it, the easiest way out is to simply click to another section of your return without answering any questions or filling in any data.
