Per IRS Pub 334, notary income is exempt from self employment tax. Sch SE instructions say to put "Exempt-Notary" on sch 2, line 4. How do I get TurboTax to do this?

This is easily accomplished using Forms Mode with one of the desktop versions by making an entry in the Schedule SE Adjustments Worksheet.

With respect to the online versions, I do not believe there is a method to exclude the income in the interview and the online versions do not support Forms Mode.

You might want to contact phone support for some sort of resolution.
