paper check from the 2020 Economic Impact Payment lists both mine and my spouses name on it but we dont have a joint account. we just noticed it expires 04/2023. can i request a new check be reissued with only my name on it?

You can return your check and ask the IRS to issue a new check.

Check with your bank first. Your bank should be able to deposit or cash the check if both of you sign. You may both have to go to the bank with your spouse and have your spouse present their ID and sign there.
