When I e-filed my taxes I opted for direct withdrawal for the money I owed to IRS. However, my e-filing was rejected and now I have to mail my tax returns. Will IRS withdraw money from my account even though my filing was rejected? Or should I have to include a check when I mail my returns.

The IRS will not withdraw the money from your bank account if your e-file was rejected. A rejected tax return is not processed at all. Send a check with your mailed tax return, or you can use Direct Pay on the IRS web site to have a payment withdrawn from your bank account.
