Overwote 2024 Return With Child's

Hi,

Might be a silly question, but first time this has happened. I submitted my return on 4/12/2025 and received that IRS accepted returned. However, my son filed his taxes on 4/13/2025 which overwrote my return. Is this an issue or will the IRS still get both returns if we both received confirmation that it was received? Luckily I printed everything out. Just want to make sure I don't need to file again.

If you e-filed and the return was accepted then you are okay in that regard.  You just will not ever be able to access that return on the TT site again since it was overwritten by another return. Glad you saved a print out!
