I am having an issue over the last two days. I can log into turbotax but as soon as I attempt to go into a section such as Income or Deductions it will load for a while and then show me a screen saying "Oops! It appears there was a drop in our connection".
Up until two days ago I wasn't getting this error, however, I was continuously getting an error when Turbotax forced me to "review" my crypro investments that had been imported from Coinbase. If I tried to review my investments from within the "Investments" section it would give me an error. If I skipped forward to the "Review" section it would tell me to "Review" my investments and then request that I enter a date for an investment and no matter how many times I entered the date it would just re-load the same page over an over asking me to enter the date again.
What I've tried:
- I've used different devices (phone and PC - web version)
- I've tried different browsers
- I've logged out and back in
- I've cleared all of my cookies and cache
- I've restarted my devices.
- I've logged out, cleared all cookies and cache, logged back in and re-imported from coinbase.
I have all of my information entered correctly and simply need to file my taxes at this point but it seems like no matter what I do I can not get past the error.

What a joke. I waited all day for a response, talked to customer service on the phone (useless), read about 100 different posts about this issue (apparently it's been unfixed since 2019) and Turbotax did nothing to help me. What a sham. They have proven that they no longer deserve my business so I will now join the thousands of others who are taking their buisness from Turbotax and using the IRS Direct File tool for FREE. Have fun with this mess if it happens to you. There is no solution except to file with someone else or directly with the IRS like I did..
