Online payment ES tax pending for months

I've made several online quarterly ES tax payments for 2024. The 3rd qtr payment did not go through and when I called the rep had me do it over. I now see in my IRS account that it is still pending, even though my 4th qtr made in Jan did process.  There is no sign of it through my bank records. As pending I can't cancel it, so how do I account for it when filing for 2024 if I am unable to resolve it through telephone contact, as that did not go well last time.

How did you make the payments?  Directly online at the IRS or send a check in the mail with the 1040ES slip?  If the payment never left your bank account then I guess you can't include it in your tax return.   Then if it ever goes though after you file they should send it back to you.

It wasn't for California was it?  CA skips the 3rd payment.

This was online, IRS Direct Pay.  This first time I paid 3rd qtr it didn't hit my bank account, I called and was told it had some error and to redo it, which I did. The second one now appears to have been rejected later and returned, but the first one is hanging still since Oct as "pending."  Meanwhile I paid 4th qtr in same manner and no problem, except I mistook it on my bank statement as the 3d quarter going through, till I looked it all up later.  Will probably opt to file without counting it, but less likely to use Direct Pay, again.
