I try to open a return that I previously did but never filed but received an error message 102345. Is there any way to correct this problem?

Try these suggestions.
The 102345 occurs when you open a non-tax file on your system. However, there are numerous other reasons for the occurrence of this error, like corrupted files, viruses, and many more. The simplest solution to this problem is removing any virus/malware from your computer and reinstalling TurboTax again.
I notice that this is a recurring issue among many TurboTax users, and I cannot understand why this has not been addressed or corrected. It seems that TT blames it on a non-tax file or a virus, but neither of those are the case.
It would not be happening year after year if it was. I purchased a brand-new laptop this year and it is still happening to me. I save all my work on a new USB stick, and many files now say corrupted when I try to reopen them.
Every year there seems to be an issue with their products and they are not cheap, as I buy the Home & Business and Business every year. I have been a TT user for over 20 years but am thinking about switching this year.
When you call customer service they just want to get into your computer screen to lurk around and have zero solutions. Get with it Turbot Tax!
It's not advisable to save TurboTax files while you're working with them anywhere but the C drive. After you've filed, you can save copies to a removable drive, but leave a backup copy in Documents > TurboTax. You may have backups in there now, with a tilde sign in front of them.
I have been a TT user for over 20 years. The last 5 years, it literally gets worse every year. I hate to start over with another product but I feel like they are almost begging me to as they make it harder and harder to use. Get "can't open file" errors constantly. TT use to be great, Now it is crap.
