I am working privately from my Boca Raton Florida home. I do not consider it a business I am just working part time for myself doing companion care. The companion I sit with gave me a 1099-Misc. Is this considered a business by Florida Tax laws and do I have to pay Florida Business Tax?

No, you do not. Florida does not have a state individual income tax related to wages so you do not need to file an income tax return with the state.
The Florida return in TurboTax is for business and rental property owners located in Florida to report assets to their county property appraisers.
By entering the 1099-MISC from a company located in Florida, the program has assumed that you have a business located in Florida and might have assets located in Florida to report.
Since that is clearly not the case, you can skip the Florida return in TurboTax entirely.
Choose Skip State in the State Taxes section (see screenshot).
You will not need to file in FL unless you have business or rental tangible personal property. (If reporting tangible personal property, you would complete Form DR-405 and submit it by mail to your local property appraiser by April 1.)
