Solved

Can I file only state tax and not federal? I already filed federal elsewhere, so the IRS rejected everything because of the redundancy.

I filed my federal taxes with credit karma but they were unable to do my state taxes. So I came to turbo tax which made me file both again. Now my state return has been rejected because they can see I already filed my federal taxes. My federal return was filed and accepted already. I need to file my state taxes.

No, you cannot e-file your state tax return without also filing your federal return first with TurboTax; to prepare and file your state return using TurboTax, you will need to paper-file and mail your state return.

See FAQ below to link to your state's website for filing alternatives:

Why can't I just print out my return?  I prefer to paper file.

What if you filed your federal through turbo tax and for some reason your state wasn’t included with that. Can I still efile my state although I’ve received my federal taxes? If so how do I do that?
