My wife typically handles all the Banking & Finances, but at the end of the year, I do the TurboTax. Every time I ask a question, she gets an attitude. I kept telling her something was wrong and asking if we got the check and she said no since TurboTax never asked me for my bank information I didn't get anything. This is the second year that this has happened when I finally printed out every single page and I tracked everything backwards I noticed at the end there's all X's in my bank account numbers so I never got my check. So right now I'm working on an amendment and an extension due to the hurricane but I want to know how to get back to that page on the TurboTax App so I can fix.
I even did my daughter's taxes a couple years ago and I have never done anything with her banking and the same thing happened but with that one I caught it. I just want to know how to get to that page so I can put my information in.

You can't use AMEND to change the refund instructions to IRS.
If there is no bank info, the refund will be mailed to the address on the 1040.
We cannot help you with your spouse's "attitude." If she prepared and filed your joint return, then the banking information was transmitted to the IRS, but appears as "x's" on the printed form for your security. The IRS got the banking information when the return was e-filed.
You may have no reason to amend----first you need clarity as to whether she filed a joint return or filed married filing separately for each of you. Check your online account with the IRS to see what the IRS shows for you.
Try checking your online account with the IRS (and if you filed a joint return—check for BOTH of you)
https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
And.....if you have a copy of your Form 1040---check the IRS refund site to see what it shows --- see if it shows a refund was issued.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
Going forward----when you use TurboTax, you enter your banking information in the FILE section. You have to enter your bank's routing number and your own bank account number for a direct deposit. If you do not enter any banking information, then the IRS mails a check to the address on your tax return.
When you print your return for your records, the account number is X'd out for privacy. If there was no number at all, it would be blank. You should see the real number if you "print a copy to file by mail" but that function may not be available.
Also, if you used refund transfer to pay your Turbotax fees deducted from your refund, the bank account number on your tax return would be the number of your temporary account at SBT bank, they are the ones who deduct the payment and send the rest to your regular account.
Start with the usual route of using the IRS where's my refund tool. If a refund was paid and not in your bank account, you can trace your refund from the IRS. If you used refund transfer, call SBT directly. Note that if you entered the wrong bank numbers on your return, what is supposed to happen is that the bank will refuse the deposit, and the IRS will mail a check. But if the bank accepts the deposit (into the wrong account or even the wrong bank) then you have to work it out with the bank. If the IRS deposited the money where you told them, they wash their hands of it after.
