No permanent tax file, only temp tax file

I'm only getting a temp tax file (~), no permanent tax file.  I save it manually and/or upon closing program.  Sometimes back to back; manually and upon closing.  Also give it some extra time.

Tried "Save as" a new file name, still only a temp file.

The solution is embarrassingly simple.  Although it has the tilde at the beginning, it's not actually a temp file, it has the extension of .tax2020.  Simply rename it without the tilde.
