I've been using TurboTax Home & Business for several years now. This is the first time I have not gone through a series of questions to determine whether I needed to pay Use tax to NC for out-of-state purchases. Usually there's an option to either enter the sales tax paid to other states or TTHB "collects" an amount based on income. I was asked to certify that there were no out-of-state purchases requiring use tax, but I never had a chance to actually answer questions as has been the case in the past. Why? Things are okay for 2023 because all of my out-of-state vendors collected NC sales tax at the time of purchase, but I feel better when the questions are asked. Why did that not happen in TTHB 2023?

I just went thru the NC state questions in my software (for a file I hadn't started NC yet), and it asked about other state purchases...("Did you buy anything without paying sales tax?")..........but then, I'm using Premier.....not H&B.
IF you go thru the entire NC Q&A, and don't see it, you can get back to it if needed....in the "Credits and taxes"
section of the NC main menu...but one has to go thru a bunch of NC Q&A-s before the full NC menu shows up.

Thanks so much!
